Birdhouse Mothers Day Gift
My mom enjoys birds and birdhouses. So I went to Michael' s Craft store and bought an unfinished, pre-made birdhouse. I picked out a couple of sheets of pretty paper, usually sold for photo albums, that matched my mom's taste. With a little bottle of decoupage glue and some scissors I papered the entire birdhouse. A matching ribbon and a little tag saying "Welcome" finished the gift. It made an original birdhouse to add to her small collection. And because I had chosen the paper out specially for her, it matched her room where she now keeps it. The cost of materials is under fifteen dollars, and the left-over decoupage glue can be used to make a another birdhouse for someone special.
