Mothers Day Tea Party

My daughter and I hosted a Mothers day tea party and invited ten ladies with their daughters (including my mother and mother-in-law, sister, nieces and several friends). This was our gift to them. The only thing we asked them to bring was a tea cup. My daughter and I had a very special morning together getting the appetizers and dessert ready and setting the tables with decorations we made. As our activity, we told stories about our mothers (I prepared everyone ahead of time to think of a good story to tell.)
The Mothers Day tea party was a great success and I plan to repeat it as a tradition. It was an inexpensive way to honor many mothers at once...but the best part was the time with my very own daughter!
