Do-It-Yourself Gingerbread House Kit

My mother-in-law makes a gingerbread house kit for all the grandchildren every year. Here are the ingredients you need for a gingerbread house gift basket:

Gingerbread House Gift Basket - This one can be as simple or fancy as you want to make it. The fancy variation starts with baking all needed gingerbread house building pieces in a mold like my mother in law does OR buying a ready made set. The simple way is to go buy a box of graham crackers. The icing can't be premixed completely, but include powdered sugar and cream of tartar, plus a box of food coloring and an icing recipe. Next comes the fun stuff! Add candy, chocolates, peppermint sticks, frosted shredded wheat cereal, or anything else you like. Try to gather both small and large items to fit every creative whim. You can also include a copy of The Gingerbread Man or a Christmas storybook.
