12 Christmas Gift Wrap Ideas

You can use a different one of these 12 Christmas gift wrap ideas for every member of your family! I like them because the gifts look great, but don't take much time to fix up. Take a look and please let me know what you think of them. Merry Christmas!

  1. This is my favorite clever wrapping idea, maybe because my grandpa always had real English Christmas crackers at our family dinner. (These are little tubes filled with candy and prizes and when you open them, them make a big crack!) Turn your gift into a giant Christmas cracker with a paper tube (paper towel, poster tube, etc.). Roll the present up and put it in the tube. This works especially well with a T-shirt, lingerie or other clothing items. Wrap the tube with brightly colored tissue paper and tie off the ends with a ribbon or band to resemble a Christmas cracker. Decorate with stickers or small stars cut out of foil.

  2. Wrap gift in red or silver paper and tie with a matching ribbon. Top with a silk poinsettia in red, pale pink or even white.

  3. Wrap gift in dark green paper. Tie gift with gold ribbon. Add a fragrant piece of pine branch, holly or cinnamon sticks tucked under the ribbon.

  4. Use holiday napkins as christmas gift wrap.

  5. Wrap gift in silver or light blue wrapping paper and tie a thick white ribbon around the gift. Cut a tag in the shape of a small snowflake.

  6. Instead of a bow, tie a pair of brightly colored warm mittens to the top of the gift.

  7. Check for unique bags, backpacks or purses at a thrift store and put the gift inside.

  8. Use paper with images from the Nutcracker and tie a metal nutcracker or small bag of nuts into the bow.

  9. Buy a multi pack of tree ornaments and tie one to the top of each present.

  10. For a child's gift, use a colorful new pair of shoelaces for the bow.

  11. Wrap gifts with red and white striped paper. Use red ribbon and slip a candy cane under the bow.

  12. Reuse a shopping bag from a store by carefully using a razor knife to cut out a star, cross, or tree where the logo is. From the inside, glue a colored piece of tissue paper behind the cutout so that it will show from the outside.
