I try to keep these best holiday gift ideas on hand, so I always have a present when I need one. I designate a storage tote just for these generic (but very nice) gifts, gift bags and paper. When I'm invited spur of the moment to a party or when I'm just too busy to select a personalized gift or when I've been procrastinating and now we have an hour until its time to go, I can go to my bin and have a gift ready in five minutes.

Keep this list in your purse or wallet and pull it out when you are at a discount or dollar store or when you visit garage sales. Stock up with a few special items that stand out to you.
